Lakpa Ri Climbing
 

Lhakpa Ri (Xang Dong Feng) mountaineering expedition gives you an impeccable mountain climbing experience amidst the richly varied landscape. Lhakpa Ri (Xang Dong Feng), towering over Tibet mountain range at an elevation of 7,045 meters, divides the upper East Rongbuk glacier and upper Kharta glacier. It lies in proximity to mighty Mt Everest boasting mesmerizing sights of Nyonno Ri range in eastern Tibet, the north faces of Chomolonzo, Makalu and Pethangtse, Shartse, Kangshung (east) face of Everest, east face of Lhotse, the north east ridge of Everest, the North Col, Changtse, Cho Oyu and Shishapangma as stunning backdrops.

The ascent up this mountain is regarded as the easiest 7000+ peak ascent. You make the ascent via the Everest Advance Base Camp.

Throughout this tour, the magnificent backdrop of the mighty Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Shisapangma and many other numerous peaks surround you.

Arriving in Kathmandu:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,350 meters). Transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu - Bring Passport to Chinese Embassy, for Visa. Logistics, training, purchasing, packing,
Day 03: In Kathmandu - Pick up passport from Chinese Embassy. Logistics, purchasing, packing.

Driving to Base camp:

Day 04: Drive to Nyalam (3,750 meters)/Guesthouse.
Day 05: Rest & acclimatization in Nyalam (3,750 meters). Walk around the local hills. guesthouse
Day 06: Drive to Tingri (4,300 meters). Guesthouse/Camp.
Day 07: Rest & acclimatization in Tingri. Explore surrounding hills.
Day 08: Drive to Chinese base camp (5,200 meters). Camp.
Day 09: Rest & acclimatization in Chinese base Camp. Organize equipment and supplies. Camp.
Day 10-13: Walk gently in the hills surrounding Chinese base, rest and organize equipments.

Moving to Advanced Base camp:

Day 14: Walk with the yaks halfway to advanced base to interim camp (5,800 meters). Camp.
Day 15: Rest & acclimatization in interim camp.
Day 16: Rest & acclimatization in interim camp.
Day 17: Walk with the yaks to advanced base (ABC) at 6,400 metres/. Camp.
Day 18: Rest & acclimatization in advanced base. Extensive training. Organize supplies.
Day 19: Climbing near ABC. Camp
Day 20: Rest in ABC. Camp. back to top

Climbing Lhakpa Ri

Day 21: Walk to the base of Lhakpa Ri camp.
Day 22: Walk to the halfway camp on Lhakpa Ri. Camp if weather permits.
Day 23: Walk to the summit of Lhakpa Ri, return to Lhakpa Ri basecamp, weather permitting.
Day 24: Extra day for climbing and exploring at high altitude. Return to ABC. Camp.

Going Home:

Day 25: Yaks transport equipment to Chinese base Camp. Members walk down.
Day 26: Early morning drive to Kathmandu.
Day 27: In Kathmandu at leisure
Day 28: Fly home.
