Trip Reviews
We, three girls from different countries met on a Nepal trek. After the trip, we had 1 full day free time so didn’t know what to do as we had already seen the sights of Kathmandu. We came across Trekking Team Group and met shree. Knowing our thoughts he instantly offered us cooking class where we can cook momo. We agreed on his suggestion and went with Bir ( one of his guide) to the market to buy all the ingredients. It was fun to buy with Nepali farmer and even learned to bargain. After this we took a taxi and went shree’s house. We cut vegetable and made ready to make Momo. The first few momo was so funny that we laughed to ourselves but shree’s wife encouraged us to make it even better and finally we made quite ok.We used same momo for our lunch and we could eat as much as we can. It was so delicious better than we had on our trek.We had lots of fun, laugh and experience which we will never forget. Thanks shree for a wonderful day! We will recommend anyone to take this course if they have day off.
This was one of the best afternoons spent in Nepal during a eight weeks stay.Bir was lovely cook and added to the enjoyment of the cookery course. The cooking was done in their home using ingredients from the family garden. Step by step instructions on how to prepare and cook simple but delicious. I’ll be taking home some great recipes and how to cook them together with fond memories of a great experience.
We just got back from a wonderful day with Shree and his lovely family learning how to make the most delicious food, and stuffing our bellies with it ’til bursting point.
We were met promptly by Bir at the arranged time in the morning and transported by car to his house just 10 Minute from Thamel.
The menu was explained to us over a cup of (also delicious) local tea and we got stuck in almost straight away. Dishes included momos, pickle and dal bhat. We had a break at midday to stretch our legs, take in some of the amazing views, and let our stomachs make some room for the afternoon delights.
This day was not only a great chance to learn how to make (and eat) the most delicious food we’ve had during our stay in Kathmandu, but a fantastic opportunity to find out about how a ‘typical’ Nepali family lives.

Additional Information
This is ADVENTURE travel, and many of the destinations on this site are in remote, underdeveloped areas where unpredictability is the norm. Despite careful planning and organization, our adventure trips can’t be taken for granted like regular trips. Many of the places we visit lack the emergency health and safety services you’re used to in the developed world. Internal flights can be canceled, road transport is often uncomfortable and unreliable, and hotel standards may not match those of the West.
If you’re not prepared for this, you shouldn’t travel with us. The unpredictability also means that our itineraries are statements of intent, not contractual obligations. Factors such as weather, transport difficulties, and political instability might require us to change any itinerary. The trip leader will make any necessary changes after consulting with the group. Such changes are rarely significant, and we always do our best to minimize their impact. However, we cannot be held responsible for changes or delays, regardless of their cause.
