Is this trip Right for me?
- There are 11 days of moderate to strenuous trekking on this Annapurna Base Camp trek, with one day going over 4000m. The longest trekking day can be up to 8 hours. Altitude sickness may occur if you haven’t done high altitude treks before or if your body doesn’t adjust well to altitude, but our itinerary is designed with gradual acclimatization below 4000m. If you’re prepared for this, it’s the right trip for you.
- We highly recommend being fit before trekking in Nepal, especially at high altitudes. Spending time getting additional exercise beforehand will make the experience more enjoyable. A weekly exercise regime, including hiking, jogging, squash, or swimming, helps develop cardiovascular fitness and stamina. Note that you’ll encounter many steps while ascending, so tailoring your exercise routine accordingly is wise. If this is ok for you then it is the right trek for you.
- The trekking lodges, or teahouses, are basic with only essential facilities. You’ll sleep in multi-bedded rooms, especially during two nights at high altitude where accommodation may be limited. If this is acceptable to you, this trek is suitable.
- Hot water may not always be available and may incur extra costs, as will access to electricity for charging devices. WiFi is available at some locations but may be unreliable and chargeable. If these conditions are acceptable to you, you should consider joining this trip.
- If you’re keen to explore the Himalayas and experience Pokhara, including its lake city, this trip is ideal for you.

Trip Reviews
Trekking around Anapurna
My son and I have trekked with Bir ( guide) and Sansha ( porter). They were an excellent team and very supportive. We are strongly recommending on trekking team group if you want to enjoy your trip.
ABC Trek
Our guide, Hari, and porter Omesh, were very good at taking care of our needs on our 11 day trek. They were very organized and pleasant to be with.We appreciated the use of the SteriPen to sterilize our drinking water – no plastic water bottles! We also appreciated Mr Shreehari’s interest in a follow up meeting to hear about our experience on the trek. We would recommend this company.
A very nice and professional group of people!
We had a very good experience with this company. Mr Shreehari was ever alert and always had a solution if you cannot make the first option. Tikka was the perfect guide, and a very nice person. I absolutely recommend this company to make your trek successful in Nepal. They make your dream turn into reality. Thanks for all!
I was many times in Nepal and I always used the service of Trekking Team Group.I can only recommend.I know from other travellers that not always is the service on the right level. If you travel to Nepal you meet every day smaller or bigger problem but the staff from Trekking Team Group always solved it really professional.
We (me and 2 of my friends) walked the Annapurna basecamp trek. The trek was booked for 7 nights and 8 days, at the end it took us 6 nights and 7 days. This may be an interesting info for those of you who have a lack of time. The agency is well organized and professional. We had a really cool, entertaining and most importantly experienced guide. His name was Birman, so make sure you trek with him 🙂
Well organized, professional company. Experienced, entertaining and young guide (Birman, ask for him 😉 ). Nothing you have to worry about. Fair price (especially in comparison with other local agencies in Kathmandu).
How these top guide books have described us?
"Ein Absolut verlässlicher, superfreundlisher veranstalter mit erstlkassigem Service.”
“Long-established trekking company with a breadth of experience and an easy-to-find location."
"A very reliable, super friendly agency offering top-notch service.”
“une agence engagée avec une belle expertise du terrain.”
Additional Information
This is ADVENTURE travel, and many of the destinations on this site are in remote, underdeveloped areas where unpredictability is the norm. Despite careful planning and organization, our adventure trips can’t be taken for granted like regular trips. Many of the places we visit lack the emergency health and safety services you’re used to in the developed world. Internal flights can be canceled, road transport is often uncomfortable and unreliable, and hotel standards may not match those of the West.
If you’re not prepared for this, you shouldn’t travel with us. The unpredictability also means that our itineraries are statements of intent, not contractual obligations. Factors such as weather, transport difficulties, and political instability might require us to change any itinerary. The trip leader will make any necessary changes after consulting with the group. Such changes are rarely significant, and we always do our best to minimize their impact. However, we cannot be held responsible for changes or delays, regardless of their cause.
What makes this trip different ?
Trekking Team Groups is one of the main supporters of Ambe Foundation, a non-political and non-profit social organization. We contribute our support to the remote village of Nuwakot and different schools like Gramin Devi, Khumbeshwori through donation, sponsorship and partnership in various projects. For details click here what we do and why we do?
Donation
Trekking Team Group donates a percentage of business profits to the foundation on a yearly basis, which supports the ongoing maintenance cost required for Gramin Devi and Khumbeshwori school, a community-based school in Nuwakot.
Sponsorship
One of the major activities of Ambe foundation is the children sponsorship program, which is conducted with full collaboration with Trekking Team Group.
Partnership (Volunteering Program)
The Ambe Volunteer Program, organised by Ambe Foundation and Trekking Team Group, aims to mobilize teams of experts and interested individuals as an effective and economic measure in providing the human capital for education, health and community development in Nuwakot District.
