My group and I trekked up Poon Hill with our guides Bir and Bim. I loved this trek – it was a fun challenge which we were more than rewarded for with stunning views of some of the tallest and most beautiful mountains in the world – Dhaulagiri, Annapurnas, Fishtail.... Both guides were both fantastic for the following reasons. First, there was a high degree of professionalism. They knew the route well and all the hotels were booked beforehand. Everything ran perfectly smoothly and there were no organizational issues. Secondly, Bir and Bim are both really friendly guys. Both speak excellent English and I had lengthy conversations with both, which I enjoyed very much. They also joined in with card games our group was playing and showed us a couple of their own. Thirdly, Bir and Bim were always supportive of anyone falling behind in the group. One of them would always hang back with that person to ensure they did not get lost, which I personally appreciated. Finally, Bir and Bim (and Trekking Team Group generally) were highly eco-friendly in their approach to trekking. They encouraged us not to use plastic bottles and to instead use our own drinking bottles. To help us with this, Bir carried a UV light water filter which he used regularly to clean water in our bottles whenever we refilled them. It filtered the water very effectively and proved indispensable throughout the trek. I am grateful that he had it. Overall, I loved my experience trekking with Trekking Team Group. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our group did the Poon Hill trek with Bim and Bir as our guides. Had an amazing couple of days and really loved both the trek and the enthusiasm of the guides. The trek ran very smoothly with all the accommodation and meals booked in advance so there was no waiting around or confusion about anything which was great. We were encouraged not to buy water to avoid the use of single-use plastic, but instead fill our water bottles from local sources and have the water purified using a UV Steripen. This proved a cost-effective, environmentally friendly and safe way to access water on the trek. The route was great and we were rewarded with some amazing views of the Himalayas from the top of Poon Hill at sunrise. The guides themselves also made the trek a lot of fun, joining in on games and pointing out interesting aspects of the landscape/environment that we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Overall we had an incredible time and would definitely book through Trekking Team Group again if I'm lucky enough to revisit Nepal.

I recently took part in the Poon Hill trek with a group of other students. The guides Bir and Bim were great company and looked after us all so well. For the entire length of the trek we did not have to worry about food or accommodation as they had it sorted. They were always on hand to answer questions and have vast amounts of knowledge about the area so it was also an opportunity to learn lots too. Overall, a fantastic experience on a trek with some amazing views. Thank you Trekking team group.

Both Bim and Bir are really amazing guides! They took us up Poon hill this September for what was a fantastic experience. They have great English skills and lots of experience, which made the whole trek incredibly enjoyable - even if it was hard work! 10/10 would recommend!

Bir and Bim have given us a trek of a lifetime! Genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. Went up Poon Hill with them and felt safe and supported whilst encouraged to make the most of the immersive experience. Their advice, presence and conversation was much appreciated by everyone.
This is ADVENTURE travel, and many of the trip destinations in this site are remote areas, within under developed countries, where events are less predictable than is usually the case in. The unexpected is the norm in these areas and, despite painstaking planning and organization, our adventure trips can never be taken for granted like regular trips. Many of the places that we visit do not have the same quality of emergency health and safety services that you are used to in the developed world. Internal flights can be canceled, road transport is generally uncomfortable and unreliable, and hotels often do not approach the standards of the West.
IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED FOR THIS, YOU SHOULD NOT TRAVEL WITH US. This unpredictability also means that the itineraries that we put forward for each of our trips should be seen as statements of intent, rather than as contractual obligations. A variety of factors, including weather, transport difficulties and political instability, might dictate that we change any itinerary. The trip leader will make any changes that are necessary, after consultation with the group. Only rarely will such changes be significant, and we will always do everything within our powers to minimize the effects of the enforced changes. We cannot be held responsible for the results of changes or delays, irrespective of how they are caused.
