Plugs and Socket applied in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan

When you are visiting Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet, it is important to know what socket and plugs are needed to charge your Cell phone, Camera & Laptop. If you do not have the right one it is always difficult. We therefore have some info about this here.

Universal plugs and socket

Nepal

Nepal is using type C, D and M type sockets and plugs. Type C socket also work with plugs E & F. Type D only works with D plugs. Type M socket works with Only Type M plugs. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. If you bring universal travel adaptor that will be easy for anything to recharge.

Bhutan

Bhutan is using type D, F and G power plugs & sockets. Type D socket only works with Type D plugs. Type F works with only plug C and plug E. Type G socket works with only plug G. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.

Tibet/China

Tibet and China is using type A, C and I power plugs and sockets. Type A mainly used in Central and North America, Japan and China. This socket only works with plug A. Type C also works with plug E. This is also known as the standard "Euro" plug. Type I only works with plug I. It is mainly used in China, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and Argentina. The standard voltage is 220 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.
