Trekking Team Group, a sustainable tour operator committed to providing authentic holidays, takes its name from the Swiss counterpart, Trekking Team AG. In 1991, Mr. Phil Simha, an outdoor specialist from Trekking Team Switzerland, was sent to Nepal to establish a partnership. Opting to collaborate, we decided to retain the same name, making it easier for our clients to remember the company and its values.
Initially catering exclusively to Swiss clients from companies like Nature Frunde Reisen, Jugi Tours, and Trekking Team Switzerland, our company decided to extend its services globally due to increasing requests from clients worldwide.
With over 30 years of experience in the Himalayas, we have recognized the significance of reliable and efficient logistics. Our partners at Trekking Team Switzerland, along with our friends Phil Simha and Nicole Bianda, have tirelessly supported and shaped us, enabling the provision of excellent Swiss-quality services for over three decades. Following an audit by the CBI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands) in 2013, Trekking Team Group was chosen as one of the 20 companies out of several hundred agencies in Nepal for expert coaching and support over a five-year period. Through the CBI initiative, we’ve had the privilege of working with and being trained by some of the best experts in the field, contributing to our evolution into one of the most productive and reliable partners in Nepal.
