Trip Overview
“School Travel Langtang Trek provides students with an enriching adventure through the picturesque Langtang Valley, blending stunning natural beauty with cultural immersion. This trek offers a unique educational experience, combining outdoor exploration with the opportunity to learn about local traditions and geography.”
Embarking on a “School Travel Langtang Trek” offers students a unique educational experience amidst the pristine landscapes of Nepal’s Langtang region. The journey begins in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital, where students immerse themselves in the country’s rich cultural heritage. Exploring historical sites like Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Pashupatinath Temple provides a foundational understanding of Nepalese traditions and spirituality.
From Kathmandu, the trek heads north towards Syabrubesi, a picturesque village known for its warm hospitality and traditional Tamang culture. Here, students have the opportunity to interact with locals, observe daily village life, and learn about sustainable tourism practices. The trek continues deeper into the Langtang Valley, where lush forests and breathtaking landscapes lead to Langtang Village, a cultural hub of the region. Students engage in cultural exchanges, visit ancient monasteries, and enjoy panoramic views of the Langtang Himalayan range.
Further along the trail lies Kyanjin Gompa, a serene Buddhist monastery nestled amidst towering peaks and glaciers. This location serves as a base for educational activities focused on Buddhist traditions, Himalayan ecology, and the impact of climate change on mountain communities. Trekking up to Tserko Ri, a nearby viewpoint, offers students a challenging yet rewarding experience, with sweeping vistas of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and other majestic peaks.
Throughout the “School Travel Langtang Trek,” students not only develop physical endurance and outdoor skills but also gain cultural insights, environmental awareness, and teamwork abilities. The journey fosters a deeper appreciation for nature’s beauty and the resilience of mountain communities, making it a transformative and memorable educational adventure. Trip Reviews
Right from the beginning to the end we have been treated like family by this company. Everyone we have dealt with has greeted us with a smile, and provided us with a genuine and ‘above expectation’ service. We were originally unsure whether we needed a guide and porters, but I’m so happy we decided to do this as it made the experience that much more enjoyable. We gained local knowledge we would have not read about or heard ourselves, went off the main paths at times, and thoroughly enjoyed our time with guide Goku and porters Tika and Kamal. It’s such a great time to visit Nepal as there are far less tourists since the earthquake, however it still has all the infrustructure and services for tourism. I also urge you to use a guide/porter service to provide support to the people and contribute to the economy, not to mention all the knowledge and fun that comes with it. We will return to Nepal and will contact trekking team group again, first of all to say hello to our new friends, as well as use their services. Thanks again for everything!

How these top guide books have described us?

"Ein Absolut verlässlicher, superfreundlisher veranstalter mit erstlkassigem Service.”

“Long-established trekking company with a breadth of experience and an easy-to-find location."

"A very reliable, super friendly agency offering top-notch service.”

“une agence engagée avec une belle expertise du terrain.”
Additional Information
This is ADVENTURE travel, and many of the destinations on this site are in remote, underdeveloped areas where unpredictability is the norm. Despite careful planning and organization, our adventure trips can’t be taken for granted like regular trips. Many of the places we visit lack the emergency health and safety services you’re used to in the developed world. Internal flights can be canceled, road transport is often uncomfortable and unreliable, and hotel standards may not match those of the West.
If you’re not prepared for this, you shouldn’t travel with us. The unpredictability also means that our itineraries are statements of intent, not contractual obligations. Factors such as weather, transport difficulties, and political instability might require us to change any itinerary. The trip leader will make any necessary changes after consulting with the group. Such changes are rarely significant, and we always do our best to minimize their impact. However, we cannot be held responsible for changes or delays, regardless of their cause.
What makes this trip different ?
Trekking Team Groups is one of the main supporters of Ambe Foundation, a non-political and non-profit social organization. We contribute our support to the remote village of Nuwakot and different schools like Gramin Devi, Khumbeshwori through donation, sponsorship and partnership in various projects. For details click here what we do and why we do?
Donation
Trekking Team Group donates a percentage of business profits to the foundation on a yearly basis, which supports the ongoing maintenance cost required for Gramin Devi and Khumbeshwori school, a community-based school in Nuwakot.
Sponsorship
One of the major activities of Ambe foundation is the children sponsorship program, which is conducted with full collaboration with Trekking Team Group.
Partnership (Volunteering Program)
The Ambe Volunteer Program, organised by Ambe Foundation and Trekking Team Group, aims to mobilize teams of experts and interested individuals as an effective and economic measure in providing the human capital for education, health and community development in Nuwakot District.
