“Fantastic trekking in Solo Khumbu region”
Me and my friends made a trekking in the most famous region in Nepal – Sherpa region Solo Khumbu. We walked from Lukla up to Kala Patar, than through Phortse up again to Gokyo. The weather couldn´t be better. Trekking Team Group enable us to realize this wonderful trip. They offered us trustworthy guide together with the porters, they arranged fly tickets for both ways and also provided logistic support all the trek. We were very satisfied with their service and with given information about the journey. I am pretty sure about no looking for other trekking company next time :o) I can recommend TTG for all the trekkers and adventurers!

What a wonderful experience we had while we were in Nepal, doing volunteering after earthquake and trek to Poonhill was awesome. After earthquake and monsoon season in Nepal, there were less tourist compared to last year as per our guide Ratna and we really enjoy being our self mostly everywhere. So, if you are planning to go Nepal and trek to Poonhill, go with Trekking Team Group! Highly Highly recommended.

We did this trek a year back. Ghorepani Poon-hill trek is a colorful and short adventure into the Annapurna region. The views were stunning and the entire forests were colorful with Rhododendron blooming.Our guide and porters were the best among many we saw on the trail. They were friendly, experience and with fun.We will use this company again when we come for next trek in Nepal!

We had an unforgettable five-day trek to Poon Hill and back around the Annapurna region, rigorous enough to be exciting and filled with absolutely breathtaking views, without being too challenging for beginners like we were. Yembi an excellent guide, professional, extremely knowledgeable and dependable. Highly recommend the Poon Hill trek for beginners looking for a bit of steep climbing, rain forestry and of course views, and of course even more advanced trekkers who’d like a shorter four or five day jaunt. It’s a well-trodden path and at night times you sleep in little village guesthouses along the way, cheap places with identical menus (but prices the rise the higher you climb) and clean beds. Don’t forget to wake up early for the Poon Hill sunrise. I won’t forget it.

Trekking Team Group is fantastic. Other hiking groups had to turn back due to heavy snow on passes, Nima, through his extensive local network was able to get us into Upper Dolpo using an alternate route. His love of Nepal and it’s people is evident in everything he does. The company had the best price when you look at what’s included and length of trip. The food on the trek was outstanding. I was so impressed I am doing another  treks with Them  this year. Absolutely outstanding!

I have visited Gokyo lake many times by taking my trekking groups from many countries. Every time I found different views of Nature. Sometimes blooming all the Himalayan alpine flower and Yak grazing in high meadow. I saw must endanger spices Musk dear and Himalayan Thar walking around the bushes. Gokyo is only trekking in the Himalayas where you can see six turquoise mountain lakes with 4 over 8000 m mountain including Mt. Everest (8850m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m) ,Cho-Oyo (8201m). The summit of Gokyo Ri (5360m) provides 360 degree panoramic views of mountain including of Ngozumba Glacier, the largest of its kind in the Himalayas.This valley is listed  on Nepal wetland Zone and one of the main part of Sagarmatha National Park area. You can trek many direction from Gokyo like just Gokyo Valley, Renjo pass, Chola Pass to Everest base camp. This is my one of the best recommended trekking destination in the Nepal Himalayas and Trekking Team Group is my Kathmandu based operator who has been operating trip since 1991. Do not hesitate to work with them; they are expert operating trip in the Himalaya.

We did Gokyo, Everest Base Camp and Kalapattar trekking in the late November. It was really great time on Himalaya!!! We were 9 members in our group and it was operated by Trekking Team Group. This leading Adventure Company is very professional and provided us very good service during our 17 days trekking At first we did Kathmandu sightseeing tour. Next day we flew around half hour to Lukla and started our trekking up to Gokyo Lake through Tyangboche Monastery, Everest Base Camp and Kalapattar. Mr  Krishna was our guide, he was very excellent and always helpful and there were other 5 porters who were very responsible. When we were at Gokyo the weather was wonderful and offering the amazing views of Himalayas. The entire trip was perfect, experience and Valuable on Himalaya. So we would like to thanks for Krishna and Trekking Team Group who operated us very good and unforgettable trip. As well we would like to recommend this company who is planning to visit Nepal at first time with group, single, children, couple etc.

I do not believe I could have had a more positive trekking experience than I did with Shree at Trekking Team Group. If you are looking for an authentic, well-run, and friendly trekking company, I assure you that you have found it here. Shree, the founder and a native to Nepal, has had an impressive amount of trekking and guiding experience in his time and became a great friend of ours by the trek’s end, as did our friendly and knowledgeable guides, who knew much about the region we were traveling in, both ecologically and culturally – great people to talk to and to have as leaders!! We also had a great team of porters who helped us in every moment. I am certain you can never go wrong with a trek through TTG, and it is now on my bucket list to come back and do another trek with them with family or friends!

I trekked the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area with Trekking Team Group  in Nov 2015. Kanchenjunga is an incredibly remote and isolated area, we spent 3 amazing weeks in some of the most unspoilt land imaginable. This was all due to the incredible organisation and local knowledge of both the Thamel based office staff at Trekking Team Group and their highly qualified and experienced guides Ram Mohan.  A big thank you must also go out to all of the incredible guys that worked as our porters carrying our gear, setting up campsites, cooking food, entertaining us with their fun loving sense of humour, and showing us more care and compassion beyond what you would normally expect. I would recommend Trekking Team Group  to all and any of my friends, family and anyone else considering travelling in Nepal.

This was my second trek in Nepal, having done the very popular Kala Pattar back in 2010. Kanchenjunga was always going to be different, being far less commercialized and more complicated to get to. TTG guys took this all in their stride and to be honest I was completely unaware of what had to be done until we talked about it on the trek. Our lead was Lakpa  and he, with the whole team, could not have been more helpful. When we stopped for the night food just appeared as if by magic, even in the higher sections where there were almost no facilities. Every day it was tasty and more importantly nutritious and it set us up for the next day. It was a pleasure to share the Himalayas with these guys and I will definitely go with them again next time. Anyone can book with Trekking Team Group with complete confidence that their dreams will be delivered (plus more they didn’t even dream)

Great trek and fantastic people. Cannot recommend these guys enough, we picked the company off TripAdvisor because of their rating. From the word go, the exact price including what was included in the total price and what we had to pay for was explained. Very professional, honest and trust worthy. Our trek was pretty remote and we had to have a guide, which was part of the permit deal, unlike Everest base camp and Annapurna treks.
Our guide Nima a local of the area, was brilliant, telling us about the local culture, and supportive, keeping us right, especially above the 4000m mark.
The teahouses were pretty decent considering where we were. The chosen tea houses appeared to be the best in each village. And all under 4000m had really decent options other that just dal baht.
There were very few fellow trekkers on this trek (and not WiFi or phone coverage) which was pretty magic. However all of them appeared to have significantly more for their trips than us.
Word of advice go with a reputable Nepalese company. All the European, UK, US and Aus/NZ companies outsource to them but charge you thousands extra for the privilege! Thank you Shree for the great trip!

If professional, personalized service with a local flavor is a high priority, Arjun from TTG is the trekking company for you. Our trip started a year before we set foot in Nepal, searching for a good, reputable trekking company to handle all of the logistics of our trek. Our group of 5 friends had decided to tackle the challenging Everest High Pass Trek which, rather than following the main trail from Lukla up to Everest Base Camp (EBC) and back, follows a circuitous route off the beaten track to reach EBC. In the process, trekkers climb through three high passes (the Renjo la, Cho la and the Khongma la) with each topping out well over 17,000ft. Needless to say, finding a trustworthy company was a high priority for us.
After reading guidebooks and searching through countless websites, we had narrowed our search down to a handful of companies. E-mail exchanges and phone conversations were next … and after skyping with Shree, our decision was made. Trekking Tem Group offered favorable rates, experienced guides and porters, and the luxury of a private trek (which ensured the flexibility to change our trek as needed). We were not disappointed. Shree and his staff capably handled all of the logistics, from our arrival in Kathmandu to our departure 21 days later. Our guide, Arjun Rana, was tremendous … always cheerful, always helpful, he and our porters made the trip the experience of a lifetime. When a snowstorm closed the Cho la the day before we were supposed to cross, Arjun smoothly altered our itinerary without missing a beat and we still made EBC and Kala Pattar. He was an exceptional guide and, I think I can safely speak for all of five of us, a good friend.
We had a fantastic experience and I would recommend Trekking Team Group to anyone considering trekking in Nepal.

Trekking Team Group organized my 5 days trip to Kathmandu and Kathmandu valley. I saw several world heritage site per day and had a very competent guide. Everyhing went smooth and they were very helpful. For example one day I had to visit the airline´s office to resolve an issue and one Guide from TTG joined me there to help out.  Highly recommended.

From start to finish an excellent trip, well organized and delivered by TTG. Their staffs are friendly and had everything in order. Shree was my contact in the office who organized the trip, I was kept well informed and any questions were answered quickly. Our guide on the trek was Lakpa who looked after us well on the trip and everything went off without a hitch. All in all a great experience, if you love mountainous regions this trek is worth undertaking and as long as you take it steady it is not a particularly difficult trek. I would recommend Trekking Team Group if you do decide to depart for Nepal. Although there is evidence of the recent earthquake (more so in Kathmandu) this should not put you off in the slightest.

My wife and I planned a High passes trek of Everest through Trekking Team Group over the internet. The company was easy to deal with over email. The guide and driver greeted us at the Kathmandu airport and escorted us to the office where they briefed us on the trip. We then had dinner back at our Hotel which had good food. Four star hotel which was acceptable according to our standards. Our guide was Lakpa and he was top notch. He was polite, professional, quiet at times, but strong with his recommendations to keep us safe and healthy. For example, he explained that meat should not be eaten above Namche Bazaar. He would check for any symptoms of altitude sickness and had an emergency first aid kit on hand with medications commonly used to treat altitude sickness including Diamox and Ibuprofen. He was well versed in the culture and mountain environment based on his substantial experience leading trekking tours over the past 10+ years with over 100 trips under his belt.
After the trip was over and we were back in Kathmandu, he took my wife and I out to the Thamel streets for shopping. We became friends and exchanged contact information at the end of the trip. He was genuine and sincere; he gave us confidence to trust him with his decision making and recommendation. Our porter was Lal and he did an excellent job carrying our bags over the mountain terrain. He was always courteous, on time, and delivered our bags before we even reached our destination.
The trekking experience was more difficult than we initially imagined primarily due to the altitude related issues such as the cold temperature and 50% oxygen relative to sea level when we were 5500meters above sea level. Fortunately, we acclimatized by gradually ascending, and took a rested in Namche and Denboche. Our legs were sore by the end but the memory we had during this trek will last forever!

“An amazing trek with Trekking Team Group”
After such an incredible previous experience trekking with my wife and Trekking Team Group in 2011 it was an easy decision to engage the professional team once again for a 19-day High Passes of Everest trek for a mate and I. As we had booked our trek post the heartbreaking earthquakes we were somewhat concerned about the extent of the devastation, us being a burden on the Nepalese people and of course our own safety. Thankfully our concerns were allayed. Yes, there was significant damage to many buildings on our trekking route but these are being repaired – the sound of hammers clinking continues from sunrise to sundown. The Nepalese people are getting on with their daily lives – the mountain people are very resilient. And, importantly, the Nepalese people are extremely happy to have tourists returning to the trails – many rely on the tourism industry to make a living.
In terms of safety, we couldn’t have been in safer hands with our knowledgeable guide Arjun, attentive porter Yokumar and the Trekking Team Group support crew back in Kathmandu. Given the impact of the earthquakes on the region and the reduced level of traffic on our selected route the team spent time each day chatting to the locals about the paths ahead and the possibility of accommodation – so we knew roughly what to expect and ensured our safe journey. For those aspects of the route the team considered unsafe we altered our trek and took an alternative route. The team truly regards safety as their paramount principle.
My mate and I had an amazing trek spending time with the beautiful Nepalese people, absorbing the breathtaking mountainous scenery, walking the tranquil forests and valleys and of course breaking ourselves over and over again as we made our way up the mountains… but it is so worth it.
If you are hesitant in travelling to Nepal post the earthquakes please for your own sanity and for the good of the Nepalese people please do make the journey. Like us you will not regret it. I also would highly recommend you engage Trekking Team Group to plan and guide your trek – they are knowledgeable, trustworthy and will ensure a safe, once in a lifetime experience.

In March we made our first visit to Nepal. We were looked after really well by Shreehari and his staff.
The trip was a great success, and gave us a good insight into the culture, customs, and way of life of the people, as well as some spectacular views of the mountains, and a close-up look at the wildlife. We were fortunate that Shreehari was able to accompany us on some of our excursions. He was able to give us extensive information about the land, buildings and people that we saw.
We wholeheartedly recommend Trekking Team Group to anyone looking to have a touring / trekking holiday in Nepal.

We just got back from a wonderful day with Shree and his lovely family learning how to make the most delicious food, and stuffing our bellies with it ’til bursting point.
We were met promptly by Bir at the arranged time in the morning and transported by car to his house just 10 Minute from Thamel.
The menu was explained to us over a cup of (also delicious) local tea and we got stuck in almost straight away. Dishes included momos, pickle and dal bhat. We had a break at midday to stretch our legs, take in some of the amazing views, and let our stomachs make some room for the afternoon delights.
This day was not only a great chance to learn how to make (and eat) the most delicious food we’ve had during our stay in Kathmandu, but a fantastic opportunity to find out about how a ‘typical’ Nepali family lives.

This was one of the best afternoons spent in Nepal during a eight weeks stay.Bir was lovely cook and added to the enjoyment of the cookery course. The cooking was done in their home using ingredients from the family garden. Step by step instructions on how to prepare and cook simple but delicious. I’ll be taking home some great recipes and how to cook them together with fond memories of a great experience.
