Shivapuri hiking start after an early breakfast and head to Budhanilkhanta Temple, where you’ll be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. Pay homage at this sacred temple of the sleeping god Vishnu, immersing yourself in the rich local culture by lighting a butter lamp. From there, drive to the entrance gate of Shivapuri National Park.
Embark on a trek through the captivating woodlands of Shivapuri National Park, gradually ascending while enjoying scenic views and fresh air. Along the way, encounter a variety of birds, monkeys, and other wildlife such as wild boars and deer.
Continue your hike to Nagi Gompa, a serene Buddhist monastery perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Afterwards, descend through lush forests, passing by waterfalls, until you reach the designated bus stand where our transport will be waiting to take you back. Please note, the trek’s duration is approximately 8-9 hours, and individuals with knee problems should avoid attempting this challenging hike.
