Ghorepani And Poon Hill Family Trek

Ghorepani and Poon Hill Family Trek is a delightful week-long adventure in the Annapurna Foothills, seamlessly blending Kathmandu sightseeing with cultural immersion and natural beauty. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our journey begins with a guided exploration of the valley, where we delve into the rich culture, heritage, and legends of Nepal’s UNESCO World Heritage sites. Children will be enthralled by encounters with holy men in temples, lamas in monasteries, and the vibrant local life that colors these charming places.

From Kathmandu, we head to Pokhara, the serene lake city, to commence our Ghorepani and Poon Hill Family. Here, amidst breathtaking mountain vistas, we trek through quaint villages inhabited by the Gurungs, traverse dense rhododendron forests resonant with birdlife, and descend into lush sub-tropical valleys nestled below the towering Annapurna range, with the majestic Machapuchare peak gracing the skyline.

The highlight of our adventure awaits atop Poon Hill at dawn. As the first rays of sunlight illuminate the snow-capped summits of Himalayan giants like Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m), the panoramic view unfolds magically before our eyes. Continuing from Poon Hill, we trek to Tadapani, Chhomrong, and further to the gateway of Annapurna Base Camp, where Fishtail and Hiunchuli loom closer overhead.

After enjoying the scenic beauty, we descend to Jhinu to relax in its natural hot springs, then continue our trek through Landruk, Tolkha, and Pothana before reaching Phedi, where our transport awaits to return us to Pokhara. In Pokhara, we unwind with rest, short boating trips, and reflection on our journey. Finally, we return to Kathmandu, carrying with us unforgettable memories of this enriching trekking experience amidst Nepal’s stunning landscapes and cultural treasures.
