Kalinchowk

Kalinchowk is one of the most famous place to catch snow in winter with an amazing view of the Himalayas. You can drive by bike, 4WD or even with cable car these days. This is also a dream destination for Hindu pilgrimage to pay homage to the goddess Kalinchok Bhagawati. There is plenty of accommodation available. If you are planning to visit there in winter, try to book accommodation in advance so that you will not end up having a not the best accommodation.

Daman

Daman has turned out to be the most attractive tourist attraction of central Nepal. From here, you can see a charming range of Himalayas on a rainless day including the highest peak of the world. Other than that, you can also observe perfectly clear waterfalls, water springs, and green mountains. Heavy snowfall in Daman is the reason why thousands of visitors come here in winter. Before you plan to travel there, please make sure there is enough snowfall to play.

Chandragiri hill

7 KM away from Thankot lies on the South-West of Kathmandu Valley at an elevation of 2551 meters from sea level. Towering tops and amazing views of the entire Kathmandu Valley covered with the dense green cover of greenery makes Chandragiri really an incredibly abundant and unblemished scene. The all-encompassing views of Kathmandu Valley and Himalayan extents from Annapurna to Everest make anybody have a craving for seeing entire Nepal from this slope. When it rains in winter there are chances to have snowfall in Chandragiri hill, so there will be a long line of travellers to play with snow here.

You can take a bus or your private vehicle to the base of the Cable car station, then you can take a cable car to reach the summit of Chandragiri Hill.

 

Nagarkot

Located 32 km east of Kathmandu lies the beautiful town Nagarkot. It is one of the best viewpoints for the amazing view of the Himalayas, sunrise, sunset as well as snowfall.
